Hello, My name is Jennica Jones,
I am a mother to 2 boys Skyler who has brought me to the special needs world , he was born with FG syndrome that affected his brain, heart and other major organs. Skyler is my miracle and my inspiration for Equine HoPE's and Dreams. Bringing together special needs and horses has been such a rewarding experience. My youngest Kesler who has neurofibromatosis type 1 and autism is already is a horse lover.
My Equine experience started at a young age just like any other kid riding lessons every week and owning my first horse at age 7 the love for horses grew stronger. I have completed in the hunter/jumpers for numerous years before converting to a horse racing career. After my first son was born I moved into western riding for enjoyment trying barrels and getting a taste of rodeoing, after many competitive years in the ring i have retired to being a mom and advocate for special needs children but longed for working with horses, that is when I decided to combine horses and special needs to create Equine HoPES and Dreams.
I am Looking forward to this new adventure and am very excited to give back to the special needs community.
HoPE is an acronym for Holoprosencephaly ( the name of Skyler's brain malformation)
